Good Egg director Lisa Gunning transports us from a city swimming pool to the sea in a new film for a MINI Countryman branded series that premiered last week on NOWNESS.
Space is one of three sensual, sumptuously produced shorts for the MINI's series Add Stories. All directed by Gunning, who is known for her atmospheric short films, they tap into the wanderlust dormant within us, highlighting a world of possibilities that lie within arm’s reach – or presumably a short drive away in a nippy car.
Country (above) follows a man ploughing through a day at the office as he dreams of wandering in the wilderness, while Substance (below) has a little lad dreaming of playing in the woods while getting through his school day.
Apart from being exquisitely shot and edited, a shout out should go to Peter Duffy at CLM for the gorgeously evocative sound effects.
