What’s the best ad campaign you’ve seen recently?
It’s got to be Dougal Wilson’s spectacular recent Paralympic film for Channel 4. It genuinely gave me goosebumps when I first saw it. Totally inspiring, flawless work.
What website(s) do you use most regularly and why?
Spotify for all music. Buzzfeed [below] for a dose of distraction. Culture24 for things to do. Thisiswhyimbroke for things you think you want but don’t use once you’ve bought them.
What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought and why?
NutriBullet to get all those five-a-days done in one dose.
What’s the last item – tech or otherwise – you bought that improved your life?
Fitbit Blaze, great piece of tech to monitor laziness and get you moving.
Facebook, Instagram or Twitter?
Facebook with a dash of Instagram.
What’s your favourite app on your phone and why?
Worldlens. Enables me to cheat on learning Spanish as your camera translates Spanish to English.
What’s your favourite TV show and why?
Just watched Stranger Things on Netflix. Beautifully styled on early Spielberg movies from the late 80s, great soundtrack, wonderfully cast.
What film do you think everyone should have seen?
Chinatown by Roman Polanski.
Where were you when inspiration last struck?
Racing a Segway through Seville thinking why didn’t I design one of these things. Awesome.
What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?
The lack of time to craft.
If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?
Having to consider so many people’s opinions, creatives should really be the only driving force.
Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…
I’m a massive fan of anything to do with zombies.
