The Doughnut
Today, on National Doughnut Day, two creatives from Grey London add a little substance to the occasion.
While we at shots tend to celebrate the humble but delicous, sugary treat on a regular basis, today is National Doughnut Day in the United States. Obviously.
To mark this auspicios occasion Grey London creatives Rupert Murphy and Jon Lawton have created a filmic ode to Scottish poet, songwriter and humourist, Ivor Cutler, who once wrote a song about doughnuts, called A Doughnut in My Hand.
"Whether you’re a ghost, a father, a woman or a cheese, there’s a day for everything these days," say Lawton and Murphy. "Today [3rd June] just so happens to be National Doughnut Day. To inject some meaning into an occasion-leveraging, 'world’s biggest doughnut' sort of world, we’ve made a little film with a bit more meaning."
