Titled Hang Time, this witty campaign for Kjærbede + Globe Studios channels the theme of manifesting destiny via a cool fashion film inspired by 2000’s street culture and cartoons.
“How about you manifest me that jacket, man?” quips one of ‘the boys’, a cheeky trio interacting with a cast of quirky characters, including ‘tracksuit girls' and ‘ice cream man’ at a skate park one night.
The 25-year-old director Sebastian Lopez, who also worked on the film’s score, commented: “It’s always funny how different a project can end up looking from what the vision originally was. Hang Time was supposed to be a warm and happy daylight film, but logistics and VFX made us decide to record at night. Next thing you know, i’m in the studio with the composer, making a dark, thriller-inspired track as well as adding green graphics and thunder in VFX. I have so much gratitude towards Globe Studios and A.Kjærbede for letting me and the team have total creative freedom.”
