This director's cut of an online film for Canadian funds tranfser service, Interac, portrays the touching tale of a lad's yearning for a pet.

Created by Toronto agency Zulu Alpha Kilo, and helmed by Tomas Mankovsky through OPC, the film walks a line between cute and charming without being mawkish as it follows the boy's quest to work at odd jobs to save cash in his piggy bank for a puppy. Carrying his porcine porcelain bank with him wherever he goes, he's upset when Piggy is ceremoniously smashed up so the money can be retrieved.

His dad – a troubled credit junkie – not only realises his son needs a pig not a dog, but also learns from the canny lad a lesson about earning and spending – the Interac message being 'Life is better when you use your own money'

The video will primarily live online with a 360 campaign directing Canadians to watch the film. This will include a 90 second version playing in cinemas across the country, in-theatre movie posters, digital, social and two 15 second teaser spots.
