Directed by BLINKINK’s Jack Brown, this sublime, psychedelic animation accompanies Yussef Dayes' and Tom Misch's new track, Rust, from their upcoming album Black Classical Music.

Evolving from his previous two promos for the band's last album, Rust sees Brown expanding the duo's visual style by bringing 3D animation into the fold, combining his dreamy illustrations with exquisite, three-dimensional characters, props and landscapes.

The film follows Dayes and Misch as they jam their way through a gorgeous rotation of fantastical landscapes, each peppered with flurries of whimsical, abstract visuals that ebb and flow in time with Rust's woozy beats.

From the textural animal designs on Daye’s bongo drum, to a carving of the letters BCM (for Black Classical Music) on a tree in the forest, Brown pays intricate attention to bespoke details in every single scene.

Brown explained: "It felt really special to work with Yussef and Tom again to make the third instalment of our animation saga and extra special to do it for Yussef’s incredible debut album. I wanted to expand the world of Nightrider and Tidal Wave by bringing it into a 3D space while maintaining the classic 2D feel. This was made possible by the big brain, super talented Richard Noble who built these landscapes from my silly sketches. Big love to the small crew of dedicated and talented people who worked on this and to Yussef and Tom for consistently making the best sounding music out there."
