Little did Shakespeare know as he penned the immortal lines, "Friends, rabbits, countrymen, lend me your ears‘ that centuries hence, an ad for a kids literary aid would repurpose the concept of ear lending so effectively.
Created by Insiders and directed by Freddie Powell through Drool Productions, this sweet spot for Yoto, For ears with a mind of their own, showcases how its child-controlled smart speaker can foster a tot's independence and imagination.
The story follows a young girl as she gets ready for the day, choosing Beatrix Potter’s beloved The Tale of Peter Rabbit on her Yoto Player as her soundtrack.
Her self-confidence grows through little acts of independence, and is represented visually by two rabbit ears, shot in-camera, which sprout from her head and grow throughout the spot.
The ad is greatly enhanced by the casting of a totes adorbs poppet and Olivia Colman's dulcet VO.
