Work anxiety just got a whole lot worse

There’s something just slightly off about the people in The Patient.

Masterfully crossing the gap in between realism and the uncanny valley of human depiction, The Patient examines the ways in which we make ourselves sick. There’s an anxiety in this film, a strange cast to the lighting that makes everyone look just a little bit nauseous. With bizarre storytelling and a prescient warning for an ending, this piece requires a rewatch or two. 

With almost-nearly-stop motion, director Axl Le creates a dissonant world, something off-putting and inherently strange. Box of Toys Audio did the sound design and production.
