Popping down to the local shop is an easy task if you live in sprawling metropolis like London, New York or Croydon, but if you're in the middle of the Australia’s Great Victoria Desert you might be out of luck... unless you're near the Tjukayirla Roadhouse.
Considered, by this campaign at least, to be one of the most remote shops in the world, the Tjukayirla Roadhouse is located on the Great Central Road – a mostly unsealed outback highway that stretches 1,126 km from Laverton in Western Australia to Yulara in the Northern Territory, and is run by Ross and Carol (and their dog Bronson).
The location features in the entertaining Remote Store One at the heart of adventure clothing brand Vollebak's fun call-to-action, in which director James Dive explores the role that outlets in remote locations play in our lives.
Kicking off a challenge to the public to help to find the most remote stores in the world, the brand, which has only sold directly to customers through its website in the past, are looking for 10 locations to become stockists for its clothing.
