Global icon Jennifer Lopez has joined Richard Branson’s new travel brand Virgin Voyages as Chief Celebrations Officer, becoming the first celebrity to – consensually – give her likeness to AI.
The campaign was created by VMLY&R and features an amusing film, directed by Dave Meyers through Radical Media USA, that follows the development of Jen A.I. by a bunch of coders having fun with AR and AI.
The remarkably authentic seeming iteration of the authentic megastar that is Jenny from the Block is now available to invite crews of revellers to join celebratory voyages. While the real J-Lo – being a tad busy – can’t call everyone on a party list, with a few simple clicks, travellers can create a custom invite to revelry on one of the line’s ships.
According to Condé Nast Traveler, celebration travel has become more of a thing in 2023, with 76 per cent of their readers choosing a trip as a way of marking a special event.
The real Jennifer Lopez commented: “It’s so important to stop and take time to celebrate special moments in our lives, and encourage others to do the same. If the last few years have taught us anything, it's how important it is to cherish life's special moments with your inner circle.”
