Created by Wieden + Kennedy, this tongue-in-cheek, scary movie parody, directed by Matias & Mathias through Bacon, showcases tech brand Samsung's Galaxy Z Series.
The film tells a story of a group of teens at a lakeside summer camp, who hear rumours of the flip phone that say: “once you see it, you must have it”. Although at first dismissive, in true horror style, one by one they start to fall under its power.
Full of comedic moments and hilarious horror movie tropes, the spot is inspired by the well-documented social phenomenon that people often move with the crowd in fear of being the first to try something new. Through the campaign, Samsung aims to reassure audiences that switching phones isn't as scary as they think.
