Technology-driven holidays drive Santa mad in this new spot for supermarket chain Rema 1000 by Oslo-based agency Try.
Rema 1000’s motto is “Keep it Simple,” and in Crazy Santa, the technophilic neighbor next door gets his comeuppance when his smart door won’t let him in while he’s dressed as Santa. The ad is funny, an anti-market ad that wants to focus on family but keeps getting distracted by the shiny new toys.
Created by director Andreas J. Riiser with the help of Bacon, the spot is playful and whimsical, reminding the audience that you don’t need everything to have a lovely holiday.
