The pain of the past
We might often see the past through rose-tinted spectacles but, as this spot for the National Museum of Prague shows, the past wasn't always a rosy place to be.

From cramped corsets to bomb shelter brides, this new spot from Espresoo Prague for the National Museum of Prague highlights that the past wasn't always a bed of roses.
We take in a series of scenes showcasing facets of life from different eras that show the hardships that were often faced (the sound of the dental clamp on a struggling man's tooth, while fleeting, is cringe-inducing).
Directed by Creative Embassy's Wolfberg, who're repped in the UK by FRED, the spot is set to an ironic, a cappella version of All Things Bright and Beautiful and, towards the end of the 60-second spot, we are asked, 'was it all bright and beautiful?' and then invited to come and see for ourselves at the museum.
