We love to imagine the creative leaps needed when agencies are tasked with bringing to life something that it, essentially, fairly mundane, like paying for goods.

Thankfully, the creatives at LA-based agency Mirimar must have been watching a lot of John Wayne movies and retro SNL clips when Klarna asked them to sell their split-payment system, as the result, The Four Quarter-Sized Cowboys, is something of a western-themed fever dream.

Featuring Maya Rudolph in the role(s) of four diddy, singing cowboys, each with their own distinct style and personality, the ad sees them riding into a modern-meets-classic cowboy town to discover and purchase the perfect pair of boots.

Delightfully deranged, Andreas Nilsson's playful palette means that the crooning cowfolk are given space to shine, and, even though you may be scratching your head as to what you actually just saw, you certainly will remember the brand's central premise.
