This brilliantly bizarre new spot from UK mobile network TESCO Mobile, created by BBH and directed by Traktor, through Stink, with post-production by Electric Theatre Collective, sees the return of the brand’s trusted trolley.
Playfully set to the soundtrack of Glenn Frey’s The Heat is On, the spot sees a characterful shopping cart embark on a mission to save man who has fallen into a well, following its journey as it races against time across the countryside, diving into rivers and through flocks of sheep.
The trolley finally finds the help it needs from a Tesco Mobile colleague, and returns to rescue the man from the well, hilariously hauling him up with a long string of sausages.
Creative Director, Uche Ezugwu, says: “This is definitely the most epic journey so far for our trolley. Traktor did a brilliant job bringing it to life and giving it character. Also, it's not often you see a shopping trolley go into a river and make it out alive.”
