powered byWhen you see an empty office, the company scanner, and you’re two tequila drinks deep after a bar crawl, what more of an excuse do you need to have fun with the copy machine?
In Moving Blind, a ripped techno beat takes the place of the swipe-on, swipe-off light machine that copies images. Fans were asked to send in images of their smashed-up faces pressed against the glass for this video, and the result is a neo-Shynola vibe full of funny noses, weird mouths, and just, like, hair everywhere.
In between scans are pasted-on tape, polaroids, and beer can rings, all layered to create a bizarre scrapbook of one hell of an office party. It’s engaging and light-hearted, and director James Stevens helped take the plastered pastiche into a bizarre and weird direction, adding in cards, beads, and tour photos to make the piece totally unique and strangely captivating.
