The past couple of years have taught us that connecting with people outside of our immediate vicinity has been made easier through technology, but for those living in rural areas it can be a bit more of a lifeline.

Following a teen as he explores movement, The Dancer sets itself out initially as a document of isolation and loneliness before exploding into joyeous connection as the track (a stripped-back cover of Robyn’s banger Dancing On My Own) launches into life.

Shot across two days in Tūākau by Nathan Price at Ruskin, this lovely concept from Colenso BBDO maintains its sweetness over an underwhelming final seconds, and paints a sweet portrait of a person finding their calling.
