When it comes to messaging, sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective.
In the UK, along with most over areas fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation is clear - practice social distancing or self-isolation or your healthcare system with be overwhelmed and unable to cope.
Utilising the instantly recognisable logo of the NHS, and following UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s address to the nation, St Luke’s have created a social-media-friendly call to arms - simply reversing the iconic text to reinforce the message STAY HOME NOW (SHN).
Conceived by Richard Denney, ECD and Al Young, CCO, the sharable image was posted alongside the copy "Don’t send our NHS backwards. #StayHomeNow #StayHomeSavesLives @NHSuk #NHSCovidHeroes"
“My mum is a recently retired nurse so I felt we needed to do something," commented Denney. "What the NHS is doing right now cannot be taken for granted or lightly. We MUST support and try to protect them by doing our bit and staying at home.
"It’s not a difficult ask.”
