Titled Missing Legends, this campaign marks the first-ever commercial directed in-house by Squarespace’s award-winning creative team.
Produced by Florence/Los Angeles, and helmed by Gui Borchert, Squarespace’s Senior Director of Creative, the atmospheric film features the denizens of a local bar as they mourn their missing beer buddies. In particular, the local legend Harry who “left one arvo to make a website and never came back.”
With Harry now enjoying the lucrative pursuit of selling cushions online (“he’s sitting on a goldmine” comes a distant wistful voice), his departure inspires another customer to get off his butt and move from being sloshed to successful.
Building on the brand's previous 'Everything to Sell Anything' campaigns, the spot tells its story well and aims to inspire all other 'legends' to bring their ideas to life through Squarespace.
