Thursday 11th September saw the SourceEcreative team pack up their favourite films, hop on a canal boat and head on over to Amsterdam for the triumphant return of their Presents series of screenings. Selling out the excellent Pakhuis De Zwijger venue, and sponsored by the ever-lovely Glassworks, the evening saw the cream of the Dutch advertising community (along with a few more Euro-visitors) congregate to check out some top-notch creativity.

The evening kicked off with a pair of excellent talks from Glassworks COO Phil Linturn and APA CEO Steve Davies. Both challenged to give us 10 minutes on 'creativity', the two talks covered disparate yet engaging themes. Steve Davies talked the audience through a few of the UK's best experimental campaigns, including a very amusing trip to a 3D printers. Phil Linturn's talk focused on some of Glassworks' R&D-led projects - Pay Per Laugh, winner of 8 Cannes Lions this year, and Heartworks, their groundbreaking collaboration with UCLH.

After glasses were charged, next up was the selection of films for Presents – curated and introduced by Worldwide Editor Jamie Madge. Showcasing the best short-form work from signed and unsigned directors worldwide, the compendium featured such treats as Ninian Doff's hilarious 'Lost On Me' promo for band Peace, Daniel Farah's hypnotising 'The Wend' animated short and the utterly hilarious 'Living With Jigsaw' by Chris Capel.

The evening ended with drinks and networking in the Pakhuis' outstanding bar area, with music delights from the fantastic Miss G (aka Caviar's Georgie MacEchern). If your flights to Amsterdam didn't get confirmed in time, you can see what everyone was talking about by checking out the photos on our Facebook page and watching all of the films via this link. Next stop on the Presents roadshow… New York!
