Celebrating passion and resilience, this ad for Square utilizes real restaurants, real dishes, and real people to share how each restaurant has survived. Created collaboratively, Restaurant Anthem is a literal and metaphorical pastiche of portraits, interviews, and tabletop shots. There’s hyper-engaging text, layered photographs, and a DIY feel to the ad that mirrors what restaurateurs have had to deal with over the past year. 

BUCK’s production team worked like a documentary crew, walking alongside the subjects and following their lives over the course of real working days. The result is a fast-paced, immersive, shared experience, a storyline that can be drawn across an industry.
