During the 2017 US Open press conference, Roger Federer was challenged by a young fan and tennis player named Zizou, who asked him if he could keep playing until he’d be old enough for a match.
Federer gave him his word, and the video went viral.
Now, five years later, the team at Boomerang have made the tennis star's promise come true in a sweet campaign for pasta brand Barilla.
Following the bemused youngster as he sits for lunch with his coach, The Promise gradually ramps up the surreality by surrounding the pair with fans, before revealing the sports hero himself for a delightfully staged match.
