Rock bottom isn’t hard to find

Direct and unflinching, this short film shows the worst possible outcome.

The camera retreats backward through a room, showing a myriad of accomplishments before a pill bottle dominates the screen. The descent is swift and fast: there’s an injury, pain pills, and then, on the ground, a spoon and syringe. The last frame is haunting; a young woman being zipped into a body bag. 

Win Brooks wrote and directed The Other Epidemic, working within a self-funded budget. His work for StreetFC has been featured on shots previously.
