They say you get nothing for free in this world. But, it seems, 'they' might be wrong.

London agency Truant and production company Brother Film have combined to create a new spot which they are giving away for free. The only stipulation is that the company which claims it must be an energy provider that supplies 100% renewable energy.

Called Old Wives’ Tales, and directed by Truant Associate Creative Directors Charlie Lindsay and George Bartlett (a.k.a Dirty Blonde), the film is a dark tale with a bright green message about the power of wind energy. The film features a tortured soul giving a mysterious monologue about Old Wives’ Tales; the things he’s tried and the things he’s debunked, before he admits to the one thing he wishes he’d never tried…

And the best part is that it's free to a green energy company. There are no catches, no terms and conditions, Truant and Brother are simply looking for a good brand that wants to be part of a great green experiment.

“Our friend, and insane director of photography, Luke Dryden said he wanted to make a commercial with us," said Lindsay and Bartlett. "Obviously, we were well up for it, and a few hundred unrealistic ideas later, we landed on a script for a green energy company. The trouble was, we didn’t have a green energy client. So we just thought, sod it, let’s make the film and then give it away for free! And it just sort of grew from there. Regardless of whether we can get someone to run it, it’s been a great experience working with some mega-talented people. To any green brands watching, if you want it - it’s yours.”
