Mixing music and food, Mother UK has created a high-energy piece for meal-and-menu subscription service Gousto.
In Give It Some, musical appetite takes on a literal meaning as subscribers open up Gousto boxes and find sonic inspiration inside. Full of fast cuts and slick editing, there are some moments in this film that feel very textural; the outpouring of fruit from a box, the clustered parade of plates down a hallway. It makes the film intentional and interesting, creating a solid representation of the brand in film while avoiding what might have been the initial instinct to create tabletop scenes of professional meals spread out across a counter.
Driving the metaphor home, Gousto will be partnering with Spotify to match music taste to tastebuds. Directed by Juan Cabral and produced by MJZ & Labhouse, the film allows for both a variety of flavors and a commitment to the bite...er, bit.
