Beautifully shot with lingering takes that keep vehicles in the background, Brave's new TVC for Motors.co.uk keeps the focus on character moments.
Through a series of vignettes, Just a Lump of Metal shares the events that happen around a car; road trips across the country, family vacations, places to sit and be alone, a thing to decorate for a wedding. With a soft palette and a light editing touch, the moments in the background stand out all the more for the subtlety of the framing.
The ad has cinematic sensibilities and a distance that makes the ad feel relatable. Led by strong copywriting, the spot feels authentic and believable. The campaign was created by Brave in association with D.A.R.Y.L. from Pulse Films directing.
