OK, so full disclosure, we have some skin in this particular game.
This spot, starring Partner and Managing Director of production company Biscuit Filmworks US, Shawn Lacy, is to promote the upcoming shots Awards Asia Pacific (which is open for entries, though the deadline's this Friday, April 2... sales pitch over).
Created by DDB Sydney, and directed by Jonathan Kneebone through The Glue Society, the tongue-firmly-in-cheek spot features Lacy recounting how she stumbled across a treasure trove of award-winning Asian advertising campaigns while in Bali, which her directors back home were able to use to steal foster inspiration.
Lacy's comedic turn is one of a series of spots which have been used to promote the shots Awards Asia Pacific. Ari Weiss, CCO of DDB Worldwide, has already featured in two [above], with one more to come, and appearances from TBWA\London's Andy Jex and Biscuit director Andreas Nilsson are on the horizon.
