Is there anything more annoying, or more likely to generate a spontaneous embolism, than that item in the self-checkout that SIMPLY WON'T SCAN?

Thought not.

A new campaign created by Grey New York for National Park Week comically reminds us of this moment, along with other everyday niggles, including the horror of self-assembly furniture; trying to speak to an actual human at a call centre rather than a series of automated voices; and finding a parking spot when all the signs contradict each other and there's another car right up your bottom.

But there's a surefire cure for the stresses and strains of daily life, at least if you're in the US. On 20 April, you can seek out the blissful green silence of a national park for free, with entry fees waived for National Park Week. Go on, leaf those worries behind...
