One Track Mind: Stephen Rutterford
Stephen Rutterford, director at ShadowRunner Industries, is enjoying the 'dark, oppressive moods' of one UK artist, and picks the track that would make him socially distance-dance, as he introduces his Isolation Radio Station playlist.
What's the song you've listened to most during this isolation period?
Gotten into Ghostpoet recently. Maybe I'm late to the party, or perhaps he's not that well known in the States, but really love his dark, oppressive moods. Not sure what that says about me, but I enjoy wallowing in that sort of thing.
I've been catching up with all his previous work. Definite influences of Massive Attack, Tricky etc. He recently released a new album I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep, so I've had that on a loop all week, making an apt soundtrack for these dystopian times.

What track always gets you on the dance floor?
A song called Malik, by Lafayette Afro Rock Band will immediately entice me to the nearest dance floor (in a socially distancing nightclub, of course).
What's your 'guilty pleasure' track?
At kid's bedtime, currently we are listening to the Troll's World Tour soundtrack, which I am secretly enjoying. Please don't tell anyone.
We can't go out right now, but when we're finally allowed to head out for a night on the town, what track will you listen to while you're getting ready?
I recently shot a music video for Black Asteroid, so I think his Metal Drums feat.Regis track would be a good stomper before you head out in your hazmat suit for some post-Covid clubbing.
