Did you know that in Texas you cannot own more than six dildos? It’s a law enshrined in Penal Code, Title 9, Chapter 43, Subchapter A. So those overburdened with marital aids in the southern states better watch out.
And what about the UK’s Salmon Act of 1986, Chapter 62, Part III, Section 32, we hear you ask? Well that states that it is illegal to handle a salmon in suspicious circumstances.
Created by AKQA and directed by Pedro Giomi, through MyMamma Entertainment, the film Questionable Laws, probes Brazilian public policy on cannabis by showcasing hilarious examples of barmy outdated laws still in place around the world.
In Brazil (where cannabis is illegal), Nowdays is a digital platform that promotes debate around the product, while in LA, the company develops and explores the benefits of CBD treatments within the wellness industry. As it is illegal to use commercial means to promote cannabis use it was important that the messaging was subtly imparted, hence the film’s artful surrealist approach.
And just one more juicy judicial fun fact: in Kentucky the transportation of ice cream in one’s back pocket is verboten.
