Agency Mr President and Goodstuff launch Metro Bank’s first campaign since they began working with the high-street bank last year to evolve the bank’s brand strategy.
The campaign, which launches the new People-People Banking brand positioning, highlights the bank's mission to innovate people back into banking while most other banks are engineering them out of it.
The OOH, cinema and YouTube campaign, which was planned and bought by Goodstuff, will run across the country until the end of March, and stars genuine Metro Bank colleagues who appear in a series of posters that are tailored specifically to the local surroundings.
The 30 second film follows a professional-looking member of the community, Ems, as she walks along her local high street and interacts with her fellow early-risers - from greeting a juggling fruit and veg trader, to kindly handing a bottle of water to a struggling morning jogger.
It’s only when she reaches the doors of Metro Bank and begins to unlock them that we realise she is in fact the Manager opening up the store at 8am.
She finally enters the bank alongside another morning customer – who is flanked by a particularly regretful looking dog who has chewed up her bank card. Fortunately for the customer, Metro Bank prints new cards in store and welcomes even the cheekiest of dogs with free biscuit treats. That’s what we call People-People Banking.
