Looking back on what we thought 'the future' would be in the late-70s is an endearingly propitious view: all silver suits and space travel rather than planetary destruction and TikToks.
That being said, plonking some of the slick-looking electric concept car that brands are unleashing right now into said garish utopias actually doesn't look too out of place, as this charmingly kitsch commercial from Nina Holmgren goes to prove.
FUTURE 2021, helmed by the SMUGGLER director and produced by Anorak via Antoni Berlin, presenting a joyously constructed retro-futuristic scenario, complete with delightful art-direction touches and a score from Georg von dem Bussche that lends it nostalgic authenticity.
