Poised on the brink between life and death, attended by fear, agony, drama and plenty of blood, sweat and tears – childbirth and war can be seen to have much in common.
Life, a new spot for the French humanitarian organisation known for its work in conflict zones, highlights the analogy with audio and visuals redolent of fiery explosions and battleground cacophony as a baby makes its hazardous way into the world.
Conceived by The Unicorn Denmark, it was directed by Rune Milton, with no less than five production companies helping to bring it to life: Thirsty Film (Denmark); Stoked Films (Lebanon); Tony Petersen Film (Germany); Dare Film (Greece) and Effectiv Team SFX GmbH (Hamburg). It's a poignant testament to the collaboration required to birth new life and new creative.
