Over a speculative musing on the nature of stories, a group of people in fantastic, strange, and horrific situations experience their own fictions.
Fiction is described as a place where you can imagine your own stories, to reinvent yourself in the book. As the narrator describes what fiction does, we see images of a man at war, Alice in wonderland, a woman running through an old castle, a man in his laboratory; all familiar scenes. There are plenty of hints about the narratives going on in the background, but no specifics. These are the starts to stories we all know...but which story is told is up to you.
Directed by Virgil of Lee Films, the piece was developed by agency Publicis Communicacion Espana. Full of sweeping statements and attention to detail in both editing and shooting, Start Listening is an invitation to both discover new stories and revisit old favorites.
