This fun one-minute ad, Always, teleports a loveable family enjoying their Christmas roast into future decades.
Devised by Karmarama, the spot is directed by Gary Freedman through Independent films, and comically conveys the insight that the more things change, the more they stay the same - including the brand's bargain prices.
As the cast is propelled forward into future festive fantasies, the stories and costumes of each actor gets a space-age overhaul for the relevant decade. Uncle Gary goes from living in Spain, to the moon, to FOREVER, but his jokes are still old; mum continues to experience tech-fail working her ever-changing camera; and the dog follows some interesting, unexpected evolutions but still wants to snaffle a sausage even though he's now vegan.
Absolute were tasked with creating stockings full of VFX to enable the superb and delightfully silly sci-fi set up.
