Portraying mental health issues on screen is a tough ask, as many of the most common conditions don't really show on the outside.
Solving this issue with a powerfully poetic visual metaphor, Sideways shows us a man living a 'normal' life, partaking in relatable activities and relationships, but with a distinct lean that symbolises the fact that something is wrong.
Bringing this clever idea, from agency Cossette Quebec, to life is les enfants' Olivier Staub, whose symmetrical photography gives the lo-fi, high-impact effect all the more poignancy.
