Created by agency El Ruso de Rocky, directed by Sega and produced by LALIGA Studios with Lee Films, the cinematic film Silent Nights is part of the sports association’s project LALIGA VS, which aims to promote tolerance in the game.
Juxtaposing the bitter insults that some adult fans fling about during football matches against the innocent faces of the children accompanying them, the film poses the question why do some express attitudes of hate and racism in a football stadium that would be unthinkable anywhere else?
It’s a call for fans of the game to be mindful that every gesture makes an impression on the little ones watching their behaviour.
Ángel Fernández, LALIGA’s Brand and Global Strategy Manager commented: “A third of the planet follows this sport. We are convinced that football is a wonderful sport full of learning and values that inspire, that guide us, that make us better. It is a reflection of society. We have a responsibility to be the best example for everyone and especially for children who see their idols as role models. If this campaign can do its bit to raise collective awareness, it will be a success.”
