If you work in a creative industry, it's a safe bet that your imagination gets the occasional workout. However, no matter how fanciful your thoughts may be, they are nothing in comparison the the playful mind of a child.
With this in mind, REVERSE director Johan Stahl's trailer for the 2019 Newport Beach Film Festival shows just how powerful the fantasy thoughts of a kid can be. Featuring a young boy caught in the crossfire of his parents’ bitter divorce, Play: The Power of Ideas sees him retreat into the comfort of his imagination, without realising how it is effecting the outside world.
Shot with a cinematic sensibility by Stahl, and containing some delightfully nasty moments, the film's ambition and neat structure make it a fun exploration of the power of ideas.
