Paris shop Romance has created an unashamedly emotional, three-minute film to mark the 50th anniversary of French grocery chain Intermarché.
Directed by Grand Bazar's Katia Lewkowicz, C'est Magnifique - which takes its title from the spot's soundtrack (a cover of the Cole Porter classic by Benjamin Biolay) - tells the story of a recently widowed man.
As he begins to navigate life after loss, he stumbles upon his wife's collection of recipes and decides to recreate one of her signature dishes. Multiple trips to the supermarket and plenty of tomato puree later, he finally succeeds, and, much like Proust's famous madeleines, the taste of the seafood pasta brings old memories to life.
