Supporting HP’s new endpoint security system, THE WOLF is a Christian Slater appreciation ad.
It starts out innocent enough; a kid playing videogames on his mom’s work computer. But when the tween clicks on a virus embedded in a rogue email, he unleashes a new kind of boss battle on the company. Showing the worst-case scenario is Slater, acting in a Mayhem-esque role, destroying company property with a golf club, and smiling maniacally in the background as every single communication point is shut down systematically by hackers.
With a sense of humor and more than enough scare tactics to make a parent snatch company-issued tech from their children, THE WOLF is a slick introduction to a new product. The Lab at Anonymous Content, the agency-production team that produced MR. ROBOT, developed on THE WOLF, and series writer Ted Kupper, worked on the concept and script. Mark Romanek directed.
