Created by The Or, the campaign brings to life the weird and wonderful ways people use the Gorillas delivery service, with data gleaned from the eight million products it has dispensed since its London launch 12 months ago.
Directed by up-and-coming London talent, Ethan & Tom, through Academy, the TV spot is a multi-screen marvel, titled Whatever London Wants, that takes inspiration from digital native behaviour of stitching together content for lols.
This combined with a series of double-entendres makes for a zesty, saucy film that informs us that Londoners love ‘blowing’ (their noses with tissues and downing cold and flu products), ‘getting smashed’ (with the hipster favourite, avocados) and ‘double dipping’ (crisps into different salsas). Don’t even ask about ‘grouting’.
But the main take away from the film is that Londoners are bananas for bananas.
