He directed the moving and thought-provoking short film Just Like Me, which shares stories of triumph and inspiration from visionary black creatives who, despite the prejudice and obstacles they faced, have become leading lights in their field.
Harris is also a respected painter and graphic designer, and these accounts from multi-talented black American designers, authors, executives and teachers are complemented by Harris’s stylish, sometimes playful animation - although the stories moved me to tears more than once.
