Who needs fancy fripperies when you can go budget and basic? The Amsterdam hostel Hans Brinker became famous for tales of its hard-partying guests and rather ‘bare minimum’ approach to basics.
In a series of fun ads out of KesselsKramer it made a feature of this reputation with hilarious depictions of rude rugby tackling cleaners, rooms stripped of décor and post-party floors littered with trip-hazard condomsdo you date me.
Now DDB Amsterdam has taken over the reins with an inaugural campaign for the hostel – rebranding it as The Infamous – which includes a new corporate identity, website and online storytelling.
The droll hero film was directed by Rumi Kaul, through CZAR Amsterdam and features post-revelry travellers tusseling with memory loss, missing trousers and additional farm animal room mates.
