Skincare brand Gold Bond has released an irreverent new campaign for its body and foot powder products.

Part of Gold Bond’s broader Champion Your Skin campaign, this spot, created by independent agency Terri & Sandy New York, was too, well, ballsy for broadcast and instead launched on Facebook, Instagram and other digital channels.

Called Euphemisms, the 60-second spot, directed by Nalle Sjoblad through Spark & Riot Los Angeles, tracks two characters from ancient Rome through the Middle Ages, to Godfather-era New York, 80s Wall Street and beyond, as they discuss - euphemistically, of course - the sweaty nature of their... meat and two veg. Complaining about “slick stones”, “moist marbles”, and “over-steeped teabags” the pair with perspiring plums are eventually promised that "There’s freshness in your future,” with Gold Bond.

The campaign continues with two 15-second spots for national broadcast TV, each introducing a recurring character named G.B. Powders, a sage voice of reason who helps young men see the error of their wet ways.
