We all know the story of Icarus - the winged smart-guy who flew a bit too close to the sun - but it's safe to guess you've never seen it reimagined like this.
Created as a response to the world premiere of Alphabus, a street dance/poetry show commissioned by the Manchester International Festival, Nexus director FX Goby's Icaria uses the Greek myth as the basis of a striking and energetic performance.
Marrying the flexibility and power of dancer Yandass with some smart editing tricks and jagged electronic soundtrack from French composer Clément Chassaing, Goby's film burns as brightly as the sun that was it's protagonist's downfall.
