It's often said that actors relish playing bad-guys, as the opportunity to be mean on screen offers up plenty of chances to chew the scenery.
If that's the case, Andy Serkis must have been jumping for joy after being cast in this witty new commercial for City to Sea, a plastic pollution campaigning organisation, as the character he plays is a REAL asshole.
Filmed and produced by production company Kream, part of Karmarama, the agency behind the campaign, Be a Good A**hole sees Serkis as an animated anus keen to highlights the damaging impact flushing wet wipes down the toilet has on our sewers and the environment.
As Nik Studzinski, Karmarama Chief Creative Officer, says, “Everybody has heard about fatbergs but fat is only the tip of the fatberg iceberg. Wet wipes are the real problem. Billions are flushed down toilets every year. They clog up our sewers and capture all the fat and other s**t that’s going through the system. Not to mention making their way into the sea.
"We’re thrilled to be working with City to Sea and with the incredible Andy Serkis on this, his most important role to date, being a real a**hole.”
