Well, from the looks of EA's cameotastic spot for their latest FIFA title, all it takes is a next-gen console, HyperMotion technology and... er... portals?
Leaning into the sci-fi concept and running with it, Private Island director Chris Boyle's film is a deliciously tongue-in-cheek exercise in well-used star power, from Wayne Rooney's genuinely hilarious look to camera to Zinedine Zidane's earnest psychology.
Created to showcase the futuristic-sounding HyperMotion - super-clever AI/motion capture elements that make the players seems as realistic as possible - what could have been an extended demo is transformed into a witty, wild ride in Boyle's capable hands.
