Full of scandalously fun and coy cartoon characters, Hallucinate is a vibrant throwback to classic black-and-white animations.

Full of over-the-top creatures, exaggerated bodies, and modern dance moves, care has been taken to imitate the feeling of old cartoons while updating it with a modern aesthetic. The vibe here is young, flirty, and joyful. A digitized Dua Lipa dances alongside obvious callbacks to the cartoons of the 40s and 50s, farm-animal and humanized object characters with big bodies, skinny legs, gloves, and huge boots.

Directed by Lisha Tan, the promo is bright, exciting, and fun, full of Easter egg references to past animators while reinterpreting the designs into something totally fresh and new. Like when the promo takes a turn to the horrific, we get a beautiful, Sailor Moon-inspired transformation.  Produced by The Mill, the animation is slick, expertly designed, and matched perfectly to the sexy-but-restrained bubblegum pop track.
