Conceptualised by the brand's in-house agency, Superette, and directed by Stink’s Camila Zapiola, this playful musical number for delivery service DoorDash spotlights the universal struggles of seasonal workers.

Paired with a comical soundtrack composed by Papa Music, Worker's Lament juxtaposes chaotic Christmas shopping scenes with the begrudging groans and sullen songs of downtrodden temporary staff.

As the spot picks up pace, the protagonists gaze enviously at the care-free delivery drivers who swan in and out to collect their orders - that is, until they discover that they can also escape this holiday hellscape by joining DoorDash themselves.

"The music helped us tap into the emotions of miserable workers and draw them into the worst-imaginable Christmas. But we needed to believe everything they sang, so I oscillated between comedy and emotion to make the characters’ arc feel real." explained the director. "I didn’t want people singing just to make a point, I wanted to feature people that we knew and that we’d seen working during the holidays. They’re funny because we recognise them.”
