Director Petra takes us from Anywhere to Nowhere

Sometimes, music videos are all about giving the artist a platform on which to perform. Sometimes they're a short narrative befitting the track. And sometimes, as is the case for this striking video for Angela Aux's Anywhere to Nowhere, they can be about complimenting the audio with an overwhelming mood.

Set in a dreary hotel room, Petra's film follows a young man as he builds himself up to make a mysterious but patently important decision that clearly haunts him.

Shot in a single take, which makes the action (or lack of it) all the more compelling, this stylistic and moving piece quietly allows tragedy to unfold in front of your eyes, aided by some smart composition from cinematographer Johan Munsberg and a delicate performance from Marco D’Amato.
